GTA V RAMDisk Bottleneck

HI All

 

I have just created a 70GB RAMDisk (10GB for windows) , for the purpose of Playing GTA online , without waiting an age for it to load.

i copied GTA5 from the C Drive to the RAMdisk (uninstalled and reinstalled).

 

When i load GTA from my SSD it take around 3m15s , when i load GTA from my RAMdisk , it take 3m19s (within margin of error), the Rockstar Social Club Load instantly from the RAMDisk and a few seconds from the SSD.

 

i have had both Task manager and MSI afterburner opened when GTA loads and no drives, CPU or GPU hit 100%, and with Paging off and on.

 

Can anyone Point me in the right direction in order to find the bottle neck in my system?

What CPU do you have?
GTA: V is a demanding, huge game.

  First off, are you testing loading the actual game to the main menu, or loading directly into an online session? Loading to the menu, you should see some difference. Unless some random authentication crap with their servers is bottlenecking stuff. 

 

  To benchmark GTA V load times into game, you have to load into the single player campaign. Loading into online sessions you have to deal with all the apparently very poor matchmaking from Rockstar. Which is most likely what you're dealing with.

This is how GTA V is. With my internet it takes the same amount as someone with 200Mb/s. I also tried it on my SSD and HDD which is a 3TB green both the same time

GTA V is an unoptimized mess when it comes to loading. No matter which components you have it's likely to load quite slow.
