My desktop is currently running Windows 7, and I remember correctly it's required to upgrade to Windows 10. Now I don't want this to happen because I prefer Windows 7 to 10, at least on my desktop since my family uses it. Now is it work staying on Windows 7 or is it better to switch to Windows 10.

Ahh thanks, yea I upgraded my Windows 8 laptop because God anything was better than that, for me. I noticed it uses a lot more of the disk and memory than Windows 7. I'm just worried it might lag a lot.

This doesn't often happen but I think they actually improved performance going from 7 to 10.  Booting is definitely faster, though that change was already present in 8 to be honest.

@GoodBytes is sort of our resident Microsoft expert... maybe has a better idea of what improvements or issues you'll see
