1280x1024 recording with OBS / Youtube

Hello someone told me to record 1280x720 till i buy new monitor, but on league if i record like this my bottom side of screen is missing.... becuase i am recording at 720p but playing at 1024p. 

 

Should i just record 1280x1024 will it be fine, plan uploading to youtube later one.

It'll be fine, the video will be a 5:4 aspect ratio but that won't affect people's ability to view it.

Something to consider is that Youtube's video player is 16:9. If you post a 1280x1024 video it's going to have black bars on the sides. The best way to do it is probably to set the game's resolution to 1280x720 while recording, so you're getting a 720p video.

Ya but i cant make ''the plays'' like this... it looks so bad if i set to 720.

if you record the resolution you play at there should be no black bars

youtube adjust to whatever res you play a video at

so people with a 16:9 monitor will have black bars when fullscreen

but thats added by youtube, not the video you upload

and it doesnt really matter, beter to see all the content in 16:10 than to have part of your gameplay cut off

Ya i know, but as i said up i cant play on 720p and make ''Big plays'' it looks small and weird..... anyways. I will record on native till new monitor.

I would play the game in 720p windowed mode if you want to record. Imo on YT the blackbars on the side doesnt look that good. either that or you have to deal with some of your top and bottom gets cut off.
