Trying to find out what parts I should buy for my gaming rig that I will be building at the end of summer. My budget is 700-750 cad and I'm mainly looking to play games like battlefield and rust, these are the specs I have planned out so far,

Mobo:GIGABYTE GA-Z97-HD3 (rev. 2.0)

Cpu:Intel Core i5-4460

Gpu:EVGA GeForce GTX 950 02G-P4-2956-KR 2GB SC+ GAMING

Psu:EVGA 100-W1-500-KR 500W ATX12V / EPS12V

Ram:hyperx fury 1x8gb ddr3 1600

Case:DEEPCOOL TESSERACT SW Mid Tower Computer Case

I already have an os, optical drive and hdd, that's what I came up with on my budget and it comes to around 700 cad but I want you guys to tell me what would need to be improved apon, especially with the psu cause im not sure if 40a is good enough for the 12v rail and if that mobo will ne good for me,I'm looking to further upgrade this pc as well but for now I just want it to be able to run games like bf and rust decently, thanks for the help.

Different PSU, Z board is pointless if you're getting a locked CPU.

Welcome to the forums!

Put your build together on www.pcpartpicker.com to check for compatibility issues and availability

What's the differences between a z board and h board etc? Also with it being locked does that mean it's not overclockable?

Yes, a non-k CPU isn't overclock able. An h board doesn't support overclocking while a z board does.

It's not a good idea to mix overclockable components because you'd be overpaying for features you can't even use!

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Z boards you can OC on, H boards you can't.

You can.. but only with some (now pulled by the board partnes) bios's.

You can also overclock non k processors.. :D

Changed that with a bios update on Skylake boards a long time ago.
