Twitch streaming with OBS

Hey guys i wanted to ask what settings can i stream with my new build that is arriving soon it has i5 4460 and gtx 960 and can i stream csgo on 1080p and 60fps or 1080 and 30fps?

1080 30 would be my guess, also depends on what ur internet can handle

Go for 720p 60 fps

Okay your internet will allow the 60 fps but it now just comes down to your hardware, from what i have seen you might be able to get away with the 60 fps. I know my i7 can do it but i cri with bad internet :'(

Yea. Play your game at 1080p, then use 720p 60 fps in OBS settings.

With OBS, you should be able to use the built-in H.264 encoder (it's an option under Encoding called Nvidia NVENC), so 1080p60 should be perfect for you.

 

With the AMD VCE branch, I can do 1080p60 all day long on my 7950 and Q6600 with VERY little CPU hit, so you should be fine.

For optimal video?

I personally do 1080p60 (as mentioned), with a 5500-7500Kbps video bitrate*. As for audio, 48KHz and 192Kbps is my preferred setting.

 

*The AMD VCE fork of OBS is a tad broken, and it doesn't utilize CPU properly, so I have to keep the bitrate down for video. Your mileage may vary.

If your not partnered on twitch I'm pretty sure the highest bitrate its let's you do is like 2800, even if you set it higher, unless they changed that from the last time I used twitch

I honestly just set it to that regardless, as I use OBS to do screen captures as well.

Yeah for local recordings it good to have it set high, but I thought twitch limited non partners.
