Logitech Z523 making a metallic noise

Swinzon
Hey guys! I bought the Logitech Z523 from a friend some weeks ago, and over the days with low bass the speakers are making this weird metallic sound. It started out with a low metallic sound, like someone using a angle grinder trough some thick thick metal far far away, and now it`s more like some small alumunum parts scrangling around in the subwoofer case.
It`s not from the sub tho, beacuse I can clearly hear it from the speakers itself, even with no bass at all.

What can have caused this?

Thanks

sorry for all this white stuff, copied it from the Logitech Forum

Sounds like the amplifier has a defective part or the actural drivers in the speakers have been fried o.O

I am not sure though, but it just sounds like the same problem i had with my Creative T5900 but those have serveral years on their back, but slowly they began to make a metallic sound when you turn the volume up just a bit :S

But you can be lucky that it's might be a capacitor that need replacement :)

Now i got the Z906 and it has now a couple of years on its back but there has been no problems so far :)

Hahaha xD yeah 40 RMS watt is not powerfull enough if you like to "push" the system..
So clearly the Z623 would be a powerfull upgrade, going from 40 RMS watt to 200 RMS watt :D
