Good cheap CPU cooler!

Chewique

So im about to buy my pc bits and i just realised i hadn't listed a good cpu cooler!

It needs to be small around the size of a cryorig h7 (I don't want that because its £57... very overpriced)

It needs to cool well

and it needs to look nice!

Thanks!

Hyper 212 Evo? Look nice? I don't know about that, I personally use a Dark Rock Pro 3 but that's expensive if you think £57 is overpriced for a cooler.

What's your case? I thought a 212 evo was one of the smallest ones on the market.

A custom painted s340. Would a cryorig h5 be any good?

I can't tell if you're trolling or not... the 212 shouldn't cause any problems in a s340.

hmm... Should be alright I think. If you're worried about Ram clearance, then I don't know. I doubt it would cause any issues.

H7 overpriced? No waaay, IMO one of the best coolers in that price range, including pure rock and Hyper 212 family. Looks SO GOOD, comes with a nice fan, compact and overall sexy.

I need S340. But more Define S'ish

What ram do you have and what are you cooling?

If you're matching a theme, it might help to give us an idea of what that is.

For example: ;)

The H5 Ultimate is a beautiful cooler that does wonders for my 4790K. Pair it with a Noctua fan and it's just this side of air cooling perfection, nearly silent and only a few degrees off of monsters like the NH-D15/D14, R1 Ultimate and Dark Rock Pro 3.

That said, it will interfere with RAM. The cooler itself won't block your first RAM slot, but the fan will. The easiest solution if you have low-profile RAM and can't slide it back a DIMM is to just raise the fan. You could also swap the fan onto the back and run it in a pull configuration, assuming you have room. The second RAM slot and further on back shouldn't be affected on most motherboards, and I've got the H5 Ultimate on about as small a motherboard as I'd be comfortable strapping it to (micro ATX).

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
