So, A friend's build has 2 hard drives (both of which are WD 1TB HDDs) in his build. I noticed that only one of the two is detected. I followed the advice of other people saying tht I need to make a new partition/volume of the other one in the Disk Management. Now that I try to make a new volume of the other one(unalocated/undetectable one). The option to make a new volume is greyed out. thank you for your time!

Make sure they are both showing up in the bios. It may need to be formatted, given a drive letter. Is the power supply enough to handle it?Take the one that dose not work out and try it in a different PC. If you have the same problem then its dead. If not then it is something else

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
