Out of memory?

Hi, I just played TF-2 for around 1 hour on my mac . After that, the game just froze, and a message popped up. "Memory full" so I checked my storage, and I still had 13 gb left. I don't know what's the problem. Help!

UPDATE: The game was running fine until that, except for lags in some parts. I have 8 gb ram, 130 gb storage, Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB, and 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5

yeah memory as in ram not storage, do you have a lot of programs running that could be using ram?

Just chrome and itunes open.

I never had this problem with any other games before. Like, I used to play robocraft or minecraft, csgo for around 2-3 hrs but it never got like this.

Check to see your memory usage as in RAM don't forget that you have 1.5GB of your 8GB of total RAM potentially used up for the iGPU.

i looked it up and it looks like its a common error to get on a mac for TF2 even if you have a lot of free ram

 

they said turning down graphics settings helped

Can anyone suggest a good on-screen monitoring software? Like MSI afterburner where it does this kind of HUD-like think so that you can see the usage while gaming or doing stuff. (Btw, can it be free?)

come on guys 8GB but running on board GPU. It was more likely running out of vram than system.

Lol vram is only 1.5 gb

Oh that's right, yeah I don't think it's for Mac probably because macs are t really made to be gamed one the OS atleast
