Sli with two different 980ti

Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

It should be fine as long as it's the same GPU. But if there are any discrepancies, the system will "downgrade" the better card.

hey guys. i currently have a Gainward 980ti pheonix GS and want to upgrade to sli. I was wondering if i had to buy another of the same card or can i just get like a reference card or a cheaper card? i am only asking because i think the gainward cards are a bit strange so i wanted to double check and ask if it would be compatible. Also here is my current build http://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/h94CmG i am halfway through getting all of the custom loop parts. fittings are driving me crazy. no idea what i need

Since it was brought up in another topic, make sure to plug it into the correct PCIe slot if you have more than two x16 sized slots. Consult your manual to see if there's anything specific.
