Those temperatures are perfectly safe, but they are higher than they should be.  What is the temperature in your room?

Nah, that's to be expected. It's designed to keep the cpu under maximum operating temperature, and it's doing that.

 

Get yourself something like a Hyper 212 EVO if your concerned.

If that chip is anything like an un-overclocked 4770k, which it should be, that's about 10 C higher on load and 20 C higher on idle than I would expect...

ok well that would account for some of that difference then; if your room was more like 20 C the temps would come down by about 5 - 7 C along with it :)

Lol, My 4790k does not reach over 70C while prime 95 26.6
