I have a Dell Power edge server I'm working on because there was a RAID issue. I'm pretty sure the Motherboard RAID controller died, and it took a drive with it. How do I tell which drive died? (RAID 5, 500Gb x 4 drives)

(Yes, I know raid 5 is made to loose 1 drive and stay operational. Things happened and the raid array can't be read)

I have a raid card waiting to be installed but I need to know which drive to replace first

Don't replace any drives until the new RAID card arrives then plug them all in, it will read the RAID headers of all the disks while importing the array and will tell you then if any disks are failed or missing.

Modern HDD sizes made raid5 obsolete. This should explain why pretty nicely: http://www.zdnet.com/article/why-raid-5-stops-working-in-2009/ Also Wendel touched upon it in this video:

That said I'd follow @leadeater's advice and hope that the array can be successfully rebuilt.
