Rufus Windows 7

Just trying to make sure, after I download the ISO onto a usb with Rufus, do I just plug it into a fresh computer with no operating system to start installing the operating system into it?

I'm not quite sure what Rufus is but what I do know is that you have to make sure the USB stick is converted to a bootable drive. That's what I did with my USB when installing Windows because I had it on the disk version and my desktop doesn't have a disk drive. The following links should help:

I haven't done that since December but if I'm correct, that's pretty much what it looks like. You should have some data files and then the setup

If the files that you showed me are from a Windows 7 download then yes
