I've recently bought the parts to a new PC, so now I'm trying to install my OS (Win7 x64), and it's asking for a driver so it can recognize my HDD (which it's set on AHCI). I went to the motherboard webpage and found out that I need to install the "Intel SATA Preinstall driver", I downloaded, but how do I install on the OS installation when it requests to install the driver, do I use put it on a specific folder on the Windows installation USB drive?

Motherboard: GA-H110M-H DDR3

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM

I've never done this, but have you looked into what this button does during install?  It seems relevant :P

That's not the problem, I want to know where do I put the Intel SATA Preinstall driver so the Windows Installation can load.

I think if you click that it can read it off of any CD, USB flash drive, floppy, etc. that is inserted into the computer.  Which ones have you tried?

I'm using a Samsung 1TB External Hard Disk to install the OS. But it doesn't show that screen, it just goes to the Driver Search, and shows nothing. BTW, the HDD is recognized on the UEFI.

Can you manually browse the drive by clicking the "browse" button?

I can.

Wee I would imagine you can select the driver package or folder and it should proceed as expected.  No?

I can select if I knew how to put the driver.

it should let you select the driver file or folder on that external drive to install

Here only shows a Boot(X:) to select, but nothing from my USB drive.

So it isn't showing up?  Hm... do you have it plugged into a USB 3 port by any chance?  They may not work without a driver (in a wonderful twist of irony :P).  Try a USB 2 port if this is the case.  Otherwise I'd try another device like a usb flash stick
