Help with gpu choice!

So, i can either get a 6700k with a 970 and upgrade to a 1080 in a year or so or go 6600k and 1070 now and not get a 1080. I game at 1080 so i think the first would be the best!

I cant afford a 980ti  but if i get a 970 i could get a 1080ti (if they release one)

I can get one is a sale by my house for like £190 so i want to save money as i can get a nice ssd and stuff.

If you're playing at 1080p then get the 1070. The GTX1080 is meant for 1440p and 2160p.

Nah its 100% 4k and the 1070 is like 2K

Would you get a 980ti over a 1070? I know I should wait for benchmarks, but there is one offer for 470 euros and I don't know what to do anymore

Ah, then honestly. Get a 390 or 390x if you can. Both should be on sale as well. Especially if you wait until after the Polaris announcements at Computex.

A overclocked 1080 is only 5% faster than a overclocked 980ti.

They arent  otherize i would get one! the 970 is cheap for me so im going to gat one. Then witht he money saved i will buy a 1080 or a 180ti!

Definitely wait for the 1080ti. The 1080 is overpriced for what you get.

If you're playing at 1080, I'd get the 970 rig. As threads become more important, the i7 will be great.
I'm not upgrading my 970 any time soon as I'm not purchasing a 2/4k monitor any time soon.

I mean a 970 a 6700k 16gb ram and 250 gb ssd will be fine for me as i only play minecraft rocketleague and just cause 3

Ahaha, the only reason i play such low end game is im not that old so my mum wont let me get the wicher and stuff But i,m fine playing them as my friends play them too

I'm not hating. I play a lot of League which will run fine on the 530 found on my processor. 
It's almost laughable to see 300+ frames while playing.
Plus, you'll have the 970 once you can obtain those games you do want.

What you just said was. "I don't have a drug problem because I just smoke, drink a little, and do heroin."

 

JC3 is a killer, you will want that i7 and even with my set up there are areas that make it work.
