Hey Folks

So I have been using a matte RAT M for the last year, its a great little mouse and I loved it to bits. However mine was having issues with connectivity after 9 months or so so I attempted to get a warranty replacement. They sent mine back after 'fixing' it but it still experienced the exact same issues so I contact them again. The 2nd time they took 3 months to send me something and I eventually got the gloss version of my mouse with a note telling me the black matte version I have been using has been discontinued. The gloss one is AWFUL, the coating not only looks but feels cheap and nasty and picks up oil and grime extremely quickly and is completely not suitable for where im using it (for work & gaming, sometimes sitting in a workshop with my laptop). After an email asking even if I could just get my broken one back in hopes of fixing it myself or a refund as this gloss one is terrible they have told me niether options would be possible. So I am about to shove this barely used gloss mouse on eBay with the original packaging hoping to get £40-50 back for it.

However I really dont know what the alternatives are to pick something new up, what im looking for is:

-Small & portable

-Wireless (I know this isnt optimal just I carry my lappy about a lot and having wires dangling off is a hazard)

-Reliable (cheap wireless mice tend to have issues)

-Low profile dongle prefered

-Standard (AAA, AA etc) batteries prefered

- ~£50 price, I COULD buy in the US for US$60-70 as I am going to be there for a couple of weeks with work in a month or so.

The only alternative I can find is the Razer Orochi but it looks awful in wireless mode which is what I would normally be using it in & finding another Rat M in matte is proving to be a pain as it appears to be phased out in favour of the Office RAT version in the UK.

Cheers for any input

CAE

I carry a Logitech MX nano / Anywhere MX, its a small portable mouse, tiny unifying receiver and it has a darkfield sensor which works on all surfaces including marble, glass, trousers, my laptop wrist rest area etc

Its not 100% the best gaming mouse, but for gaming on the go casually, and for working its great

I actually kind of like the look of that. Although I tend to run my mouse at 2000-3000 dpi so going back to 1000-1600 would be a pain (Using an old 800dpi optical mouse at the moment and its a nightmare).

I did look at a G602 a while back but it was way to big for my hands to be honest, I like wee mice! :)

Just ordered a Razer Orochi 2015. The fact ive just bought a Razer product is slightly depressing! It doesnt look too awful and I used my brothers student email to get a jazzy 15% discount. Used a Lachesis for yeaaaars when I was in college, im just hoping I get one of the ones that bloody works! :D
