In 2 or so weeks I am running my first ever lan and so need to have a dhcp server and a firewall. I figured pfsense would do well. I downloaded and unziped the usb version (which was a pain as I at the time had no idea how to unzip a .gz file) and now its telling me the iso is corrupted. any ideas?

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025

How did you exact it exactly?

It should be as simple as:

Download the file -> Extract it with a normal program like 7-zip or WinRAR -> Use a tool like Rufus to create a bootable USB memory stick.

If it still doesn't work download the file again (although if it extracted properly then it should not be damaged).
