Virus Removal / PC Format

Go to solution Solved by Adonis4000,

So, after the suggestion to use the ADWCleaner, I found the following website:

http://blog.en.uptodown.com/how-to-remove-malware/

IT GOT RID OF THEM!!! ALL OF THEM!!! FOLLOW THIS GUIDE STEP BY STEP AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED!!!!

There is no longer need for me to format my pc, and I can now finally play games on steam with peace.

A huge thanks to the people who helped me: @Mug @ThinkWithPortals

I have a serious problem with viruses on my pc. They are basically ads but I am certain that their origin is my computer and not the websites. They open up in all the browsers, and this happens only to me. I am talking about some serious ads over here. Like 6 pop ups per page, 2 redirect website if you click anywhere on the screen, as well as more redirect websites if you click anywhere on the pop ups (even on the x  button). That's not all of it though! Being a gamer, i have trouble since the open up on STEAM AS WELL while playing games!!! It's a living nightmare!  Moreover, I scaned my pc for viruses using the free avg antivirus software, which resulted in a temporary removal of most of the viruses. And when I say temporary I mean for about 10 minutes.

Therefore, I believe that the only way to remove the viruses is to actually format my pc, or if someone has a better idea about how to remove them, I'll be glad to hear it.

The problem about formatting my pc is that i don't want my operating system (windows 7) to be deleted, but I know that it's possible to format the pc without having it deleted as well. I just don't know how.

HELP!

If it's unbearably prolific, you can just re-install Windows. You can do this by inserting a USB or CD with Windows on it into the computer and going through the process. That should rid you of viruses.

Wouldn't that require a new copy of windows? Also, this will format my pc, right?

It doesn't, no. You're still using your current licence that you've got.

It also doesn't format the disk, it will instead put all of your old files in a folder that it won't touch unless you tell it to. You can then delete that folder or copy personal files across.

If you do want to format the disk, you can do that too but it's a more risky process and you've no way of retrieving the files that you had on the computer beforehand.

Ok, I believe this will do since I have no intention of retrieving any files currently on my pc. Thanks xD
