Realized I never mentioned my own ranking here.

Hey! I go by Prettyfinej on NA server, last time I placed 1v1 I was diamond protoss/zerg exclusively playing masters. That was a few seasons ago though, since then only been playing teams with co-workers and recently pre-ordered hots to start playing beta.

I was reaaaally lucky and got the HoTS beta in September and since then I've played about ~300 games (@GrandmasBoy - this is probably why my MMR in WoL dropped... I was playing my 1v1s in HoTS). The "magic" of the game has really worn off though... I feel as though there's no really big gamechanger and I find myself using no new units / mechanics besides maybe the widow mine in early game.

I haven't had a lot of time to test it out yet over the holidays but I've played some 1v1's and 2v2's. So far I like the amount that is changing in the expansion, I feel like the added units give more diversity and are in general harder to use than the standard builds of wol. I think given time it will make for a more interesting metagame than is currently in wings so I look forward to that primarily from a viewers point of view.

That's speaking more from a p/z point of view as I only tried a handful of games as terran, which I didn't so far find all that interesting in the expansion yet.

Ah that makes a lot of sense. Definitely takes a lot of skill for high level TvT, its definitely a blast watching tvt.

I definitely like watching all matchups, tvt is my favorite though. Recently, pvp and zvz has gotten pretty intense.

Wouldn't know but I know that in the lower leagues people either do the following:

A) All in and push you ~7-9 minutes.

B) Turtle in their base

So yeah it must be pretty annoying, I would just cheese until you get promoted to the very end. Just do early aggression and get over lower leagues so you can get into higher ones. Terrans require a lot of multi tasking with constant unit production.

Hehe. The "MyHero" part of a name is a sort of clan tag, and I just added IdrA in as a joke. He's a good player and can be really cool guy, but let's be honest - he's really BM and has a very poor attitude sometimes. My favorite SC2 player is actually MKP.

I wouldn't necessarily say IdrA is BM compared to a person such as Destiny or even XlorD (whole Stephano incident). He has attitude problems but you know what? at least he has the results to back it up. Not really as of late but, once a champion, always a champion and is still one of the top foreigner in overall earnings http://sc2earnings.com/ #27. Can't take that away from him and is also a very marketable player. Gets a lot of viewers on his stream and plugs his sponsors in interviews. He's not afraid to express his opinions and does talk shows such as Inside The Game etc etc.

Oh god lol, IdrA hates MKP. IdrA says that MKP does random crap and win. When he won the game against MKP in IPTL he was so happy.

It's actually starting tomorrow, January 8-9. Not a huge fan of it though, no spectators can watch the event live (not that I'm at CES)..... also JD has to go back on January 11th to play GSL Up & Downs (again) so he will be kinda jet lagged and not getting much practice due to the traveling.

More excited for Up & Downs imo. Grubby playing tonight and HuK later this week

I love SC2 but I tend to not play so much MP rather than loading up and map and playing the AI for what ever reason it is more straight forward for me and I don't have more than 40 apm lol.

I was a watching of SC 2 for like a year, then i made the plunge and bought the game. Playing the game is such a different experience than watching the game. The only race I can play is Terran as i just started playing. I get a ton of nervousness when i play 1v1, but not as bad when I play 2v2 to 4v4 with my friends. But in any case SC 2 great, just cant wait for Hots as well.

hey guys, any of you protoss guys that have abit of spare time interested in abit of coaching? Im based in South Africa so my times work along side european times.

Im probably around a silver player at the moment and also watch more then I play but would like to change that if anyone could give me a hand.
