I've bought modmic 4.0 with the mute switch, but when I mute it, I can still hear some sounds, for example if I tap on it or things like that. Is this normal?

Yeah... that's not gonna work on os x where I'm using it. Also, I wasn't asking how to use software to mute a mic, I know how to do that. But I've paid a price premium for mute option on modmic so I want it to work properly, therefore I am asking if it's supposed to do that.

As described in first post, it still records loud noises, for example tapping on the mic. Can you please actually read the post before commenting next time?
