No mic in steam/CS:GO?

Hey everyone so i have an issue. My mic does not work in game on steam. It works fine everywhere else, facebook call, skype, teamspeak etc.

 

I have tried detecting it but nothing happens. Any ideas? Really sucks playing CS with friends and getting killed because i have to type 'at b'

Did you go in steams setting and go to mic and see if it shows in there?

Mic tested in steam and nothing happens

Man I've had this issue before and I'm trying I got to remember how I fixed it. Have you tried just unplugging it? And making sure your mic is set as default in the recoding devices on your computer

Had this issue for a long time and after asking eveywhere and trying everything i just reinstalled csgo and it worked, i dunno maybe i typed some console command that muted it (not voice_enable 0). If you really cant find any other solution then just reinstall. And for steam? Im having the same issue with my friends but it usually fixes it randomly which is really weird, could be your mic too i guess?
