So my client has an old pc he wanted me to repurpose into a video streaming, Internet browsing machine. Since his computer is too slow to run windows. I found him a Linux distro that looks nice and I installed it on his computer ( elementary os ). It runs very smoothly but he said he couldn't watch any videos from this site

I use the chromium browser and I installed flash and java and it still doesn't work. What other video codecs can I install to make this machine useable on this website?

It works for me on Firefox and Linux Mint... but seeing as how that entire site is in Chinese, I have no clue how to help. Give Firefox a try I guess?

seems like the site has a custom video player. those do never work good on low end machines. its pretty much the sites fault.

I don't use chromium, but the chrome download from google and I can get flash based players to work eg. twitch )the only site where it doesn't work is xfinitytv.comcast.net which is Comcasts fault for not working known issue)  It should work for Elementary OS, my Ubuntu 16.04 install almost matches Freya. if you have 2GB of memory I suggest just installing 64bit linux.
