@UnjoGratis You kinda took a page out of the book that I had originally used for my planned build which is in odd place right now as I still need to get income and save that income to go towards the build but also trying to make some choices in the meanwhile have been interesting...

So anyways, looks pretty good. Though why do you need 3TB of storage?

The price to GB was pretty low. Do you think I could get away with 1tb

2TB might be that happier medium, though the extra storage isn't such a bad idea.

Depending on what you plan on doing 1TB is quite a lot

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

iPad Air 2 (for school)

iPhone 6

Xbox One Forza 6 Limited Edition Blue

That too I think is a factor... Storing a lot of large games and large video/photo files will eat 1TB very fast but if it's just a few larger photo and video files here and there and some large games but mostly smaller games or few games then yeah 1TB is plenty for mass storage.

Have you looked into the used xeon E5-2670's, that are sold on eBay? Might be a better bang for your buck, especially it being 8 cores and 16 threads. Although the motherboards are pretty expensive, something to consider if you can spend another $200.

750W would be ridiculously overkill for a single GTX 1080 (and even for two in SLI). Just save the cash and grab the 550W G2 variant instead.

Haven't heard great things about the 3TB Barracudas but I'm not too well informed about their current status in terms of reliability.
