So, my laptop is dying. It had problems with the PSU but luckily, since I'm an electronic engineering student, I managed to fix it. Now it's becoming stupidly hot even when not doing anything, today I was just browsing the internet and the motherboard was at 70ºC and the CPU was at 60ºC. I'll open it up later this week and clean it, but I don't have much hope.  My current one is a Toshiba Satellite a300-1ID in case you're wondering. Also, it's a bit amusing how the specs claim it has up to 3.5h yet mine never really got past 1.5h...

EDIT:

Recently I noticed that while playing a browser game (game of thrones ascent) my laptop was actually reaching 95ºC.. So I opened it, cleaned it up, changed the thermal paste, and it stayed the same so there's nothing I can do besides getting a new one as surely any simulation program will actually set it on fire. Since this topic wasn't very helpful I've been looking for some laptops on my own, but I really couldn't find anything that pleased me, so here are the specifications and hopefully one of you guys might know of a laptop that would fit me:

Haswell CPU - Preferebly i7 but an i5 might be enough.

Intel HD graphics - I don't need a GPU as at most I'll do some light gaming, like LoL, L4D2 or SC2. Preferably something like an HD 4400 or HD 5000.

15.6" screen - If the computer is exceptional then I don't mind going a bit below this, 13.3" would be probably too small though.

1600x900 - My current one is 1280x800 and I hate it, I really don't want to go lower than this, 1080p would be awesome.

Touchscreen - I guess a convertible ultrabook wouldn't be a bad thing, I would definitely give it some use. Tough if I can't use it as a tablet during classes then I don't think I'd use touchscreen at all.

8 GB ram - I don't think 4gB is enough, it'd probably be really borderline.

500 GB HDD - a SSD won't be necessary, windows 8 already has a fast boot time.

3h+ battery life - This is the absolute minimum. 6h would be awesome.

2 Kg - I'd rather have a lighter laptop, though it's not that important.

1000€ tops - The cheaper the better

I don't think I need a GT750M. It's also really heavy.
