Looks like you need to change it back to MBR

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You need to remove both partitions on the SSD and let the Windows installer do the partition setup. If it still gives an error after removing the partitions, exit out of the installer to restart the computer (don't just press Reset), and let it try again.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

GPT should be used if your system is UEFI ready (you have no choice, unless you enable "compatibility mode", which emulates the slow and old BIOS). Windows 7 does not fully support UEFI (too old). But if you want your computer to boot quick and have all the advantages of UEFI in later Windows, such as Windows 8 and 10, you need to drive to be in GPT.

The drive has to be fully formatted to convert from GPT to MBR or the reverse. So backup all your stuff before.

Thank you, I'll try that.
