Hey guys, gotta write this quickly, because my new laptop gets a lot of BSODs.

Laptop is ASUS ROG GL552VW with i7 6700HQ and GTX960M. Added some photos of the BSODs, they are in Dutch, but the error name is the same as in English.

On my desktop I have no issues. I got a new laptop for 4 days now, and had about 8 BSODs. Never had one on my desktop with GTX970.

Thanks! I didn't have any crashes since I've installed 361.75.

But now I can't open Nvidia Control Panel anymore.. It says I don't have a monitor connected to a Nvidia GPU.

That's a bug in Nvidia Optimus. I wouldn't bother with it honestly - mobile Nvidia drivers are terrible, several times worse than any other drivers ever.

As you said, I installed an older version of Geforce drivers, also had a lot of problems with that. Now installed the latest drivers again and no problems what so ever. I think it wasn't installed correctly before.

It's also possible that GFE fucked up the installation. It once got my drivers so borked I had to reinstall 8.1 (almost trashed the HDD cause of that)

I was the first time that I had some real shitty experience with Nvidia. Also, I think the GFE version I used to install the latest drivers was outdated as it came pre-installed on the laptop.

It autoupdates itself before the driver so no, it was not that. GFE is finicky.

I'd strongly suggest keeping 361.75 though. It was tailor-made for 960M/860M GPUs. Saying this because there have been reports of mobile drivers killing displays and, sometimes, laptops GPUs.

How did they get killed? Too high temps? Or just bricked?

From what I've read and chatted - driver update goes to 100%, screen turns black, laptop doesn't turn on anymore.
