I am going to be building a computer for some friends and I need two of them I have a budget 1400$ for both of them individually. I only need the hardware and that is pretty much it. Can you guys help me I honestly have no clue on what to get them so if you guys have any ideas or any plans that you have made and would like to share that would be awesome.

I am not looking to get them that intensive hardware I just want to start them off and they can take it from there. Then again they don't have any money to upgrade anyways

1400 can get you an insane rig, you know that right? theres no point in not getting good parts if you can afford it.

well the point is I am trying to get it to them now. They are twins and it's their birthday either way I honestly could not give two hefty craps about the 6950x, the gtx 1000 series, AMD zen cpus, or AMD's Polaris GPUs. They will be the same in the next few months anyways. They aren't going anywhere.

Well if it's gaming you can do pretty good for PC only. Though if mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc. are needed to be in that $1,400 budget it might be a little harder.

Video Editing might be a bit harder at that budget but still possible...

Basic web browsing and whatnot $1400 is more than enough...

They both want to do some slightly heavy gaming, and some intensive video editing. like unedited videos because they have yet to learn how to use any video editing programs other than imovie

Make a setup with intel integrated graphics (Later you can put a GTX 1080).

That looks good, maybe if you can wait for the R9 480X or R9 490 and the GTX 1070, those cards might be have a better price/performance than the 390X... Or at least perform better than the 390X.
Otherwise looks good.

Racing to 3k post before midnight CDT, nearing that sort of finishline...
