Give it 1.3-1.375v, and change the multiplier to 45 or 46.

Luck. That's all you need.

  1. Start putting the multiplier at stock.
  2. Put voltage on Fixed Mode and input 1.25v
  3. Stress test it for about 20min and see how hot it gets. If lower than 80, up voltage a notch and repeat, until you find your max voltage. That's what we are going to work with.
  4. Put your multiplier at your desired value. Stress test it for stability. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, bump it down till it works.

You can actually go further, but that's a good baseline.

80 is dam lol

thought my 9590 was hot lol

my fx chip rarely hits 50 lol

AMD's CPUs have a lower limit than Intel's, due to crappy sensor positioning.

4.5 at 1.37v staying under 50c

Congratz on not following the instructions.

and xmp sends it into a shit fit lol

If your XMP changes the BCLK, that would be the reason. You'd have to dial down the multipliers for CPU and cache to match the new base.

Also, frequencies above 3000mhz start to depend not only on the RAM, but also on your board and CPU's IMC. Sometimes, you can't get it function, even if your kits are rated for 3200.

There's also a possibility that it wasn't the RAM that caused problems, but rather your CPU OC not being stable in the first place. Which is my bet; you couldn't have possibility verified it properly, not within the time frame of these posts.

hmm i kicked the xmp profile multiplier down to 1 and it booted up no problems

will run stress test for a hour or so see if it dies

will let it run overnight if it doesnt krap out

i can live with 3100mhz lol

have my cooler on silent mode it never ramps up to jet engine mode anymore so nice and quiet lol

freakin 9590 kept that thing on aircraft carrier mode gaming

thanx for the help

brought it to 1.38 for 4.5ghz and my ram 3100mhz and my video card is sitting pretty with its 1130/1400 overclock with no issues

my old fx chip kept my case pretty warm wasnt able to ever keep the overclock for the card that high lol

just gave it the old witcher 3 tempature test lol card is staying arround 85 which is nice, always had to put the card at stock b4

now to find some poor fool to buy my 9590 mb and ram lol

maybe i will try for a higher overclock when i bored but this is good enough for now
