Folders on taskbar - Windows 7

I doubt anyone but Microsoft could probably give me an answer but when you have a pinned folder on the taskbar in Windows 7 . . . if you go to some folders you can quickly access them again but right clicking the folder on the taskbar but some you can go to dozens of times and they will never show there. Why?

Define "pinned folder" (you mean with the File Explorer, or adding as a tool bar on the Task bar, a folder?)

And what do you mean "never show there"?

If you (in Windows 7, and perhaps windows 8) have a folder icon on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen if you right click you can pin some (or all) the folders so you can get to them easier.
 
  What I'm curious is why some folders show when you right click and others don't. I may go to my skyrim folder (on my D drive) several times but it never shows up there then some (random?) amount of time later it does . . . .
