How does office mechanical keyboard compare to gamer mechanical keyboard?

On my laptop I'm using flat-keyboard obviously and I think I got used it. But many people tell that mechanical keyboards are so great and many major brands offer "better by the day" mechanical keyboard. I've been using mechanical keyboard about 2 months ago, and boy they're noisy. About 3 times than flat-keyboard. Are gamer mechanical keyboards more silent than that? Could I, by using it for let's say 3 months, get used it? I currently type 90WPM on flat-keyboard, would switching to mechanical keyboard hurt my experience?

Should I swap to mechanical gamer keyboard because of something improvements that I'm not aware of, or should I stick with flat-keyboard on my PC?

Chiclet keyboards, or mechanical, or membrane, my WPM has always been 100+ on either of them

(though cherry mx red's or anything linear you are prone to make a lot of mistakes if your typing very fast like me)

I'm talking more about ease of use. Is there any advantages in mechanical over flat keyboards?

Debatable, its all on your preference, i think mechanical keyboards feel more accurate, and better for gaming than membrane or chiclet switches

there is no "office" or "gamer" mechanical keyboard, there are only switch types, usually colorful cherries. You can use red ones if you want to be quiet, blues are clicky, ones require more force to be pressed, other have shorter actuation point or tactile feedback. do you mean chiclet keyboard? It depends, you might have got used to short button presses, but I prefer mechanical keyboards a lot more as you just don't have to mash the keys all the way to the bottom. Only difference between for ex. Gaming corsair one and clicky Ducky are keycaps, design and features like lighting and other software stuff.

I need S340. But more Define S'ish

red's aren't that quiet if you bottom out, eventually none of the switches are as quiet as membrane switches

You can buy some foamy or rubber pads to help bottoming out clack sound. Or just use those dental rings as Linus suggested. Membrane keyboards also clack if you buy the wrong one.

So technically I could combine, mechanical keyboard, with low-noise feature and "no-need-to-fully-push-to-work" feature?

if you like the mushy feeling of a membrane

these are your generic membrane switches

you dont NEED to bottom down, its just a habit for me, i just think it feels more accruate

Mushy? Do you mean mentioned foam under the keys? I would like to hit bottom, just like with my flat-keyboard, just not as loud as the office one.
