This video is in 4K at 60 fps! (even though it would be the same at 1 fps)

What i've bought:

I've bought the i3-4160, 1x8GB HyperX Fury Red RAM Module, the GA-H81M-S1 rev 2.1 motherboard, the NOX Coolbay RX case and i still have to buy the case and the power supply. I will be using the current hard drive from my old 2008 computer (1 TB).

I MAY GET THE R7 370 INSTEAD OF THE GTX 950!

Uses:

  • Playing Cities Skylines
  • Browsing the web a lot!
  • And playing some light games.

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

Playing Cities Skylines

Uh oh.

Cities Skylines is a massive CPU game. The i3 will tank fps down to 20 ish if you build a city over 80k people (I tell you from experience). That forced me to have to pause the simulation every time I wanted to make a change, until the game became clearly unplayable at 120k city population.

If you can still return the i3 and get something bigger, I recommend it. Look for an i5 4690 (uses same motherboards).

Also AMD will have great offerings for $100-150 with their new generation, or so we hear!

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

Get this CX from corsair. Don't get the old ones with a green sticker. It's $50 after a mail-in rebate over at micro center. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na

That's pretty good.

Try getting an i5-4590 for EUR 190. https://www.amazon.es/Intel-1150-i5-4590-Procesador-3-3/dp/B00K5J22GG?ie=UTF8&tag=pcp02-21

It'll give you good Cities: Skylines performance.

I live in a place where even that 190 could cost like 220. And i'm very poor. And i'll maybe not be creating that super populative city.

Gotcha. I found I could keep playing as my city grew if I turned down the settings, should be no problem.

In Europe, look for an XFX TS power supply. Those are usually great deals (get the cheapest, sohuldn't be more than 50).

Woah, the cheapest SeaSonic power supply is 68 euros here. But there's (bad) power supplies for 25 euros, though. Is EuroTech good?

Don't use bad ones, they'll kill your other components!

The only power supply that doesn't immediately concern me is the one from seasonic. :(

Can you get products shipped from Amazon.es? https://www.amazon.es/XFX-P1-430S-XXB9-unidad-funte-alimentaci%C3%B3n/dp/B00O3JHESA/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1463230039&sr=1-2&keywords=xfx+ts

It's 4 euros cheaper, and yet the only drawback is that IT'S SPANISH and i have to wait 6-10 days. But why not?
