Hi guys, so my MSI GTX 970 has started to sag :( I noticed it a couple of weeks ago and have checked to see if the actual PCI slot has been bent (it hasnt thank god) So it's obviously just the card bending under the weight.

Is there anyway that i can fix this? Any backplates that would help fix it?

Thanks!

Fix: don't worry about it, it's not actually a problem.

Seriously, forget about it, unless you find it too ugly to bear.

if you buy a backplate for it, it would also benefit from the passive cooling. its a bonus. plus it looks more cool.

Backplate won't solve this, unless your card is getting bent.

You can find some supports on amazon and ebay, but it will cost you some extra $.

o yeah, backplates only benefit if it is bending. if it is not bending, just sagging than it is worse then without a backplate because of the extra weight. @BigChimp97

If it wont actually break the card then i probably wont bother then. Was scared it would actually snap the connections eventually.

this is why i give up desk space for horizontal motherboards!

more ontopic tho, i remember seeing some product helping with this issue, mainly rods or supports to take some of the weight.

something you could do is manage your pcie cables along the back of the card using zip ties and route them in a way the they are tight and help hold the gpus weight
