Just curious: do you really need a workstation build? I simply ask because I know quite a few people do workstation type stuff without the workstation "parts" such as Xeons and GPU cards. They replaced it with a Titan and an i5/i7.

Also, any reason why you would need W7? It's only a few dollars cheaper than the Windows 8 Pro.

That being said;

Memory looks fine. I don't know if you would need 1866MHz over 1600MHz. SSD is fine, so is the HDD unless you want more space for both. Case isn't bad, I would get the R4 is you can squeeze the extra money for a more silence build. I personal don't ever use optical drives. I find them useless after installing an OS. Now a days, you don't need one to install.

Desktop: Intel i5-3570K (stock) | Asus Sabertooth Z77 | G.Skill RipJaw 16GB 1600MHz | Samsung 840 120GB | EVGA GTX 680 SC+ 2GB | Fractal Design R4 | Windows 8 Pro (soon to have dual boot Mac OS X)

Retina Macbook Pro : Intel i7-3840QM | 16GB 1600 MHz | 256GB SSD | Nvidia GT 650M 1GB | Mac OS X 10.8.5

What are they being used for? Budget?

You should compose your build with pcpartpicker.

video editing budget is 3500 each and this is copyed and pasted from pcpartpicker so you don't have to click a link.

A permalink is easier to deal with especially compared to how you just put a block of text down. Organize your post dude.

What programs are being used? Type of content being produced? Why so many systems? Who's using them?
