So the last month or so I have been having trouble keeping a steady ping and steady connection my ping has a good 200ms variable at any given moment: http://imgur.com/JnKPjfs  My ping used to be 160 +/- 10 in this server. I have also been experiencing random disconnects which also suck.

My roommates say they don't have this problem but they also aren't gamers so its not as big a deal.

I also should mention that i have been using a powerline adapter "netgear powerline 200 mini adapter" but bringing the PC downstairs and hooking it strait to the router see no improvements (actually seems to make it worse)
What could be wrong?

my unexperienced theories are:
1) time warner cable is shit and i need to yell at them

2) motherboard is shot possibly due to a cheep powerline and/or old house and/or case that is falling apart.

thoughts? theories? solutions? thank you LTT forums
