Gtx 970 "Classic"

Hi guys

I recently bought a graphics card of a friend of a relative, its a MSI GTX970 OC, it doesn't look like any id seen before from what I can find its a "classic edition" or something, was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between this edition and the MSI gaming 970/ GTX 970 original? is this an older model? I've run a few benchmarks and it doesn't seem to get quite the same performance as online benchmarks of the standard 970.

If so, then obviously it woldn't perform as good. That card has problems with the power delivery system; it can't even hold stock speed properly.

Yeh that's the one, thanks, is that a well known problem then? I got it super cheap so its not a major concern. And i'm assuming that means probably won't hold up to overclocking?

It's not very well know.... which I guess comes from the fact that so few people bought this card in the first place.

 

But yea, I wouldn't put my chips into OCing this card either.
