I have four basic builds planned out based on different socket types, I'm looking for input on how long the hardware will last (obsolescence) and if the build is any good in general. I am going to use the computer for gaming, video and graphic creation, and writing. The computer will be displayed through a large LED television through HDMI. I live in the United States and have the option of buying over time. Please see attached images.

None of these are a good choice for not going obsolete soon as a new generation of GPUs is coming out in only a month.

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

3970X/256GB - 5950X/128GB ECC - 5600G/96GB - 3400GE/16GB - 3400GE/16GB

He got the GPU for free - I would assume he already has it.

I'm curious why you have a multitude of SSD? You could partition a 1TB SSD for Apps.

I'd go with the i7-4790k, I think it's a great build and the IPC improvements with Skylake won't be overly noticeable for the price difference.
