Some might need to be turned down to medium, but I was surprised when I saw how good the performance was (looking at buying it for a friend).

 

However, I would wait until the 1050 comes out, unless you need it right away.

As long as the anti aliasing isn't too high, you should be fine with pretty much everything at 1080p. Anti aliasing at high setting will cripple even the most powerful cards. When i put anti aliasing on high while playing tomb raider, my 980ti can only push 40 fps at 1080p.
