Do I need a gpu

Hi I am building my first pc. My pc have a intel i7 6700k as a cpu. the thing is that I am going to play cities skylines that are the most powerfull game that I am going to play, latter I will play cs:go. I am unsure if I need somehing like a gtx 950 or anything like that. so hope you guys can help me.

Both those games can run on relatively cheap gpus. You should be able to run both relatively well on a GTX 660 or higher.

If you got the budget I'd get the 950. It'll help with any game and give you a decent amount of FPS for a low price.

The 950 is an absolute steal and you won't regret it.

 

Cheap, yet fast enough to power GTA V at 60 FPS on high settings.

and yet somehow my 980ti can't run GTA V at 60fps near ultra settings. 

 

But the 950 is a good choice for your needs op.

imo you over spent on that CPU, a i5 would had done the trick, but you dont really need a too powerful gpu for those games anyway, get a 750Ti or something

What is wrong with the HD 530 iGPU built into the CPU?

 

It will play CS:GO at 60+ FPS at 1080p without a problem, the OP doesn't need a dGPU.

 

I don't know about Cities Skylines, I've never played that one.

 

Don't knock built in graphics, they have gotten much better.
