My take on this, is that the same argument could've been made and could still be made and probably was made for the Internet and video games and whatnot. 

 

Am I completely for VR? No. Am I completely against VR? No.

Well this wasn't a very accurate use of the term 'dark ages' at all... even if real-reality is a bit dark with a VR headset on.

Every single article I can find written by this guy is either about politics or general society.  He is not a tech writer at all, so whoever allowed him to op-ed this peace should get fucking fired.
