What would you get an i7 6700 or 6700k if the 6700k how much could you overclock it with a 212 evo

If you can afford the difference of a 6700k + z170 + cooler, while not sacrificing on other components (such as the GPU)... then I guess go for the K version.

The Intel i7-6700K would be a better choice in my opinion as the price difference isn't huge, but also as you can probably overclock it relatively well with the CM 212 Evo.

You'll probably only get a few hundred megahertz more though, so a better cooler like the Corsair H series or the NZXT X series would be preferable for better cooling and overclocking.

You don't need either to get 120 on minecraft.

I'm confused as to why you need such a high frame rate in the first place. If your monitor can only output say 60Hz, 60FPS is all you need.

non k 6700's

Ah, yes they did. They (intel I believe) killed overclocking of all non k CPUs not too long after the exploit was created.

So for multitasking which would be better

You won't notice any improvement from a 5820k over a 6700k

If you have cash burning a hole in your pocket.. it's up to you. But the 6700k will be slightly cheaper.

Define "kill". The only thing they did was force board partners to push Bios updates locking it. But the older Bios are still available out there without much effort.

But the multitude of issues associated with BCLK Ocing (even before Intel stepped in) are still there.

ok the the 6700k it isbut now how about a good cooler that can overclock plus (if you don't mind) can you state the overclocking potential of the cooler

Aim for a 240mm WC, or even a 280mm one if your case permits.

As far as OCing, it'll OC as much as you can squeeze out of your overall setup and test methodology allows (which is another way of saying no one can answer that question outside of yourself).
