Hello

I'm about to build a new PC and i need some help in picking the right components. This will be my second pc build and with this one i will be focusing on a clean look with good cable management and cable mods.

What is your intended use for this build?

The build will be used for gaming.

What kind of performance are you looking for?

  • Screen resolution: 1920x1080
  • FPS: 60+
  • Game settings: High/Ultra

What is your budget?

$1300, Can go both up or down.

Build Focus

With this build i'm going to focus alot on cable management. I'm looking to get sleeved cables, so a modular PSU is a must have. I want to get a case and motherboard that allows for easy cabling and good airflow.

Build

CPU

Intel

CPU Cooler

I am looking into water cooling

Motherboard

Motherboard that allows for easy cabling and overclocking.

Memory

16GB

Storage

1TB HDD and 120GB SSD

GPU

I'm looking into 960 but can go for 970 if recomended

Case

Case that allow good cable management.

Power Supply

I will most likely use cabel mods, so a fully modular PSU is probably the best option?

You can do so much better than that for $1300. In fact, you could build a capable 1440p rig AND fit in a 1440p IPS monitor.

This case is from a less-known manufacturer, but apparently, there's plenty of room for cable management, and the case looks great. I even included some gorgeous white Fractal Design fans so you can use those instead of the blue LED ones that come with the case, making this build pretty monochrome- black and white is a great colour scheme.

I live in Europe, Norway.

I wish you had mentioned that sooner. People who cite their budget in $$$ usually live in, well, 'Murica.

I would order from norway, since shipping items to norway is expensive.

I don´t know Norway PC Part sites, so I´m just using UK PCPartPicker, your budget is about 900 Pounds converted, and left 130 Pounds in hopes that that´ll subsidize shipping.

I'm trying to understand why would you sacrifice performance and focus on looks at this low budget? Decent esthetics and good cable management will easily eat away 10-20% of this budget and I think it's just insane when you could have a better cpu or gpu and put that to good use for yourself or even others (e.g. folding).

Not really. the 210 elite has some pretty decent cable management, and doesn´t look half bad either.
