Hi,

I've been searching for a decent usb solution, to connect to my pc. My cousins router is one floor higher than me, directly on my head. it rests on the floor. I want decent wifi coverage that won't disconnect frequently. Any ideas? Should these tiny usb things work? like this? http://www.e-shop.gr/tp-link-tl-wn725n-150mbps-wireless-n-nano-usb-adapter-p-PER.612497 ? Thanks in advance.

Do you have any PCIe slots available on your motherboard? If you do I would suggest going for a wireless PCIe card over a USB solution as they tend to provide better range, coverage, and reliability over their USB counterparts.

I think I have a PCIe slot available, but my case is very small, and the heat factor a concerning one, so I gotta opt for a usb one , that's why I'm asking. Any products to offer? Or anything will work ? (Cause the range of the router and my pc is very small)

If you're talking about small range with not a lot if interference then a USB adapter shouldn't be an issue unless the floors are concrete or something.

The only thing that obstructs the way is my cousins floor, in his he rests his router. I'm directly down his router, in the second floor. Imagine his router being over me. xD I think it's not a lot of obstruction. It's only one floor of concrete, nothing more. :/

Concrete and wireless dont mix. So Good luck. Id recommend something with external antenna. I dont really have any favorites as I always opt for a PCIe solution. Ive seen some that have USB extensions too, which might help. Id honestly would download something like WiFi analyzer on your phone and just check to see how good the wireless is.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
