Do I need a thermal paste change?

MY laptop is 5 years old hp 4530s and while under normal usage, word excel powerpoint and an ass ton of tabs, my laptop is thermal throttling.

Only way to tell is to open up your laptop. If the paste is dry remove and reapply.

Clean out the dust first so see if that's enough. Re-doing the thermal paste won't hurt, but might not be needed either. In any case, cleaning the fins of the heatsink and the fan is way faster than re-doing the TIM.

Dust cleaning helps a lot, also yes, you should, it's probably a cement right now..

I need S340. But more Define S'ish
