What's your PSU? For all I know it could be a crap quality one.

If you can wait, wait for the GTX 1070 to release (June 10th). It shouldn't be much more than the GTX 970.

You can lose the 240mm AIO since the CPU is locked, a budget air cooler would fine. Something like the Cryorig H7 or the beQuiet! Pure Rock would be a solid choice.

The i5 6500 is better value for money. Just grab that instead.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Spoiler

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K - 4.5 GHz | Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO | RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 | SSD: Samsung 850 EVO - 500GB | GPU: MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB | PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 | Case: NZXT Phantom 530 | Cooling: CRYORIG R1 Ultimate | Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Peripherals: Corsair Vengeance K70 and Razer DeathAdder

My psu is a CX 750. I might get the 6600k and keep the AIO cooler because i want to overclock. I will get the Z version of that mobo so i can oc slso
