Hello those viewing this thread, I have a question for you all. I've just purchased an Intel i5 3570K processor with a Corsair H100i cooler, my question for you all today is what is the acceptable temperature to run your overclock? My question being what should be the temperature range for your CPU be after an overclock. Thank you in advance for your answers.  :)

Define acceptable in your eyes. TJMax for those is 105'C, I believe.

If you're doing a suicide run: Under 100. Overclock ceiling test/benchmarking: Under 85-90. 24/7 operation (Stress): ~65. 24/7 operation (idle) around 25-35 depending on ambient.

You'll want to find a balance between your temp (lower = longer life) and toleration of noise. It all depends on the variables of cooler, case, airflow, fans, etc.

For example my system is open air and when fully loaded doesn't go above 60C. I am perfectly fine with 60 :)

An "acceptable" temperature depends really on what specific chip you have, and on top of that what temperature you are comfortable running as your maximum. It's best to do some research and find out what the max thermals for your specific chip is, and them setting your 24/7 overclock such that it reaches temperatures a comfortable amount lower than that maximum. For me, my 24/7 overclock gets my AMD 955BE to about 50C at 4.0GHz on air cooling. I have stable settings for 4.2GHz that I keep recorded in case I ever need the extra power, but that pushes my max temp to 57-58C.

For you, temperatures in the 70s range should still be fine. Going north of 80 should raise some flags, but either way you should still be testing for stability and making changes accordingly.
