Windows 10 upgrade change disk

Lavos5181

So I am planning on upgrading to windows 10 soon but I do not want it to be on the same harddrive as my windows 7 is right now. I was hoping when upgrading to put it on a ssd. So I was wondering one, If I upgrade can i have both 7 and 10. Second I was wondering if I upgrade can I select which hard drive windows 10 will be on.

The upgrade must be done on the drive with windows 7, its an upgrade and not a clean install from scratch.. You could maybe clone windows 7 onto another drive and then upgrade one of them and then do a fresh install on the upgraded drive. I would personally just upgrade and  get use to windows 10, its not so bad after you get use to it. I hope this clears things up.
