set voltages back to stock for one.

I haven't altered anything though but i guess i could give it a try. Would i need to reinstall bios or anything like that?

no, and it just might help. even from the factory I had voltages wrong. ( right out of the box ) or you start messing around in the bios and do something without realizing the consequences.

Ill give it ago once i get my parts back. Currently having a bit of a hassle with Scan.co.uk and my psu return.

you should keep a good ps in reserve.

Theyre offering replacement if its faulty but their T&Cs say im entitled to a credit and they're arguing with me. I'm going through paypal now.

Yeah. The terms say I am entitled to a replacement or credit after 28 days and they're refusing a credit so I have started dispute claims with PayPal, hopefully i can get it sorted soon enough. 

 

I will attempt the CMOS reset when I get all my parts back, but i dont think ill be attempting to recreate the failure anytime soon

Never go cheap on PSU.

Made that mistake once and won't do it again.

 

Get Corsair PSU with 80+ gold or something.
