HWMonitor Temps

Go to solution Solved by mrgooglegeek,

what cpu do you have?

While I was running a stress test, I noticed that HW Moniot showed that my CPU was had reached a max temp of 129 degrees Celsius and Core Temp showed a max temp of 46 degrees! Do you think that HW Monitor has a bug or is it right?

Its just an issue with HWmonitor, dont worry about it. AMD CPU's dont always show correctly in hwmonitor, they don't measure temps in the same way. depending on your motherboard, you may be able to get software from the manufacturer (if its asus, AI suite has a good temp monitor)

Its automatic, just press this button!

THX!!!!! and I was so worried... SHould I just use CoreTemp?

You can never entirely outrule a software problem, even if its unlikely since to my knowledge HWMonitor is a rather reliable programm.

However I would just get some other programms that can read out temperatures and check what they show.

For example: aida64(has a trial version) or msi afterburner would be the next most commonly used apart of HWMonitor.

Another, maybe less knowen options would be: realtemp, speedfan or coretemp.

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.

Amdahls law > multicore CPU.

They don't always work on AMD...
