i am trying to use clonezilla to move the data from a hdd to an ssd on my dad's lenovo laptop but the exe doesn't open (and i did try open as administrator)

so i'm trying to use a boot drive.

i am using a sandisk ultra fit usb 3.0 (and i am using it in a 2.0 slot) and putting clonezilla via the batch file above the exe in the win64 folder

from what i have seen (at least on my dad's laptop) it tries to access a usb boot drive but doesn't find it so it loads windows

i tried it on my pc and even thougth i have put it in the top, it loads windows instead

and both systems are using windows 10

Whenever I use Clonezilla I write the ISO to a CD/DVD, and it works fine for me

Do you have a CD/DVD writer in order to do that?

in fact, yes

Then write it to an blank cd/dvd, whichever one has enough space.

Then go ahead and try to boot from that.

Well, try and see if that helps.

The whole point of secureboot is to prevent people from booting things, so there's a good chance that's the culprit.

there is only windows and efi network in the boot priority section of the bios for some reason
