Hey guys, can any confirm that all this works together? Pcpartpicker says it does, and my own research says it does but I'm not a complete expert. Also the case this is going in is an h440 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LTBNkL

Appears as though they're all compatible.
What are you wanting to do with the machine and what's your budget?

Also, please do not go with that SSD. Chances are you'll end up with something incredibly slow because of Kingston playing switcharoo with the NAND chips.

Sig under construction.

Budget is around $1200-$1400, I'll use it mostly for gaming/streaming. Also thank you so much for mentioning that, I totally forgot that Kingston messed with those chips, who would you recommend?

Better one. CPU only supports DDR4 2133. MSI overprices everything. Oly ever buy MOBO from Asus if you can. As long as your case has 2x 140mm fan mounts, your good to go.

I bought a h440 last night

Than a 280mm cooler will be fine. I recommend the V2 over the GTX, better and quitter pump, plus more customizability

I like the first list you put together, only a few questions though, why did you change the cpu cooler and memory? Also the ssd I'm good with but I only want 1tb right now instead of 2. And why 650w instead of 750?

1) I didn't change your list, I made a new one (:
But seriously, I didn't think about the RAM. And I changed the CPU cooler because I like large heatsinks made by Noctua.

2) 650w is more than enough, unless you're wanting to go crossfire down the line, in which case you'll want more than 850w probably.

I hate large heat sinks, It looks bad through the side window and I'm going for a nice clean look, so a corsair h100i is what I like. I plan on upgrading for sure but not sure what I'll upgrade so 750w is probably what I need for upgrading

Get the 760I psu, but that is a good build

1 note tho : the CPU only supports MAX 2133, you can use 2400MHz, but it will be downclocked to 2133Mhz (this will have no performance impact, just means your paying slightly more than you should have to for the same performance)

He doesn't need a 760W psu for a single gpu setup.

The Ram will work fine at 2400MHz. Not sure why you think otherwise.

That motherboard won't work with that cpu.

You should start your own thread as well ;)

You don't need 750W. A 650W gives you headroom even for overclocking. The RMx is a better unit.

I would swap the Gigabyte R9 390 for the Sapphire R9 390 Nitro.

The X99 platform supports Quad channel Ram so you could swap to a 4 x 4GB kit.

u need to get a motherboard that is z170, h170 or something like that. z77 is super old. if u want z77 then get a sandy bridge cpu, like the 2600 or 2700k. z77 is very old doe.

Would a 4x4 kit be slower or faster? Otherwise I'd stick with 8x2 and upgrade later on to 32gb
